Liam is 3!
Our baby turned 3 today! We had a good afternoon with a few friends, opening presents, eating cake, popcorn and pretzels. Liam was very excited about ripping the paper off of his presents and good about letting the other kids share things! I guess next year will be different! Here are a few shots of our time. The boys are outside playing in the dirt and running around. It has been a quiet hour so far. Have you never seen a green elephant yet? It must be a special and rare swiss breed.

Thank you for inviting us to the party! It seems like we've celebrated a few birthdays at your place these last couple of weeks. I guess we invited ourselves to one of them...The green elephant was delicious and the party had a wonderful North American ambience.

Happy birthday to everyone! I find, while looking at your pictures, that I'm scanning the tiniest details--trying to see what your house looks like, what the outside looks like (all of it beautiful). I'd love to see more pictures of where you are! Maybe someday I'll even get to see it all in person! That would sure be neat. Hope everyone is fine now that you're all older. :)
How time flies, eh?...Nice to hear from you! Quite the little family you have--cute kids! Sarah's grandparents came to Oregon from Thun in 1890--hence the sauerkraut and the original tools to make it. We were in Switzerland briefly in May '07 on a whirlwind European honeymoon but only had two days and weren't sure where exactly you are so didn't try to make contact. But, it looks like we may be back in spring/early summer '09 to visit family. We'll have more time then and would be so fun to see you and meet your family!
