Dylan was supposed to be getting ready for school today and I caught him making faces at himself in oven door, which is glass. I had to laugh because I guess I have to admit that I have been known to practice making faces at myself in many shiny surfaces. I GET this kid. Good thing for him, otherwise he might be in trouble a lot more often! Also, whenever we try to get a picture of him without him pulling a Calvin, this is what happens. At the last second, what looked like it was going to be a 'normal' face turns into one like this for example. Gotta love him.

Alinya has curly hair when it is wet...is it going to stay like this or not?

Our easter bunny! Thanks to Grandma Sloan for the adorable things. The soft blankie is sure to be a favorite and the chocolate is already gone! I didn't hide it quickly enough.

The kids seem to have struck our computer again with some sort of forgetting charm. It has been wiped clean of all of the programs that we use every day, although thankfully internet explorer has been left intact. So emails are not getting to us at the moment, hope to have the problem fixed soon. Meanwhile, all continues to run more or less smoothly at the ranch. Hannes and Dylan still fight, Alinya still sleeps most of the time and Liam is still adorable. All in all, normal life continues. The highlights of my week so far have been Dylan mentioning that my stomach is still really big and a school chum of Hannes' asking what language is your grandma speaking? (and she was referring to ME!!) What is going on here? Is it a conspiracy to drive me to the brink, or drive me to drink?

Here are a few shots of our little girl--awake! Dylan loves to hold her, but doesn't last very long as he says, I'm already hot! She warms you up all right. I think she might have smiled several times today but not sure yet.

Dylan and Hannes must have been playing with the camera..hence this funny one of Dylan. Yes, I know, the shots of Alinya are mostly sleeping ones, but that is really what she does most of the time. She does have active periods but unfortunately they aren't long and usually happen in the middle of the night, when noone else wants to play! Especially me! Liam is asking to get out of the tub and get dressed, he wants to wear a tie today he says, so we had better see what we can find that looks good with a t-shirt.

Liam connected with something tougher than him outside the other day. He must have scratched it in the night and it looks ugly this morning. He looked so funny with the old ski helmet on backwards and surrounded by his Lumpy's.

I think this picture shows what she really looks like. It is hard to get a good picture of her. Her hair is curly when it is wet but as soon as it dries it is straight. She enjoyed some freedom in front of the fire this morning.
Alinya with noise this time!

Alinya in her fancy Sunday duds. We ate out at today and she was very good!

Alinya with her eyes open for once! These were taken before the boys left for school...Alinya was fascinated by Hannes' face, staring up at him in wonder.
