Impatient!!

No, I am not at the hospital yet or even on my way there! The other day I was gone for about an hour and there were two messages on my phone when I got back home...oh, you're probably at the hospital and oh, you must be on your way to the hospital...thanks for all of your warm thoughts and wishes but no, I am still at home, waiting very impatiently!! The official date is the 11th of Feb, so not even the right month yet. Maria is here keeping our house going and Mom will be here on Tuesday. So I am getting lots of feet up time and my house is sparkling. This baby can really come anytime now. smile. groan. moan. hope.

Today was beautiful and we got out of the house and enjoyed the sunshine down by the lake. The boys took their rollerblades and I walked along with them. It was almost warm but not quite! They needed to be active as the weather hasn't permitted too much activity lately. It was very fun!

37 weeks and counting!

Here we are at 37 weeks! I had quite a few contractions last night but nothing much happened today! I am ready to see this little person. Don't know if it is ready to meet this crazy family!

Spring! (in my vases)

My decorator friend came over and worked some simple magic..there were some neat fruit arrangements too but we ate those already! I can't wait for spring! The tulips are a good foretaste tho. You can see some snow on the ground outside the window. It is almost rained away.

Hannes left for Ski week this morning, it was dark and rainy and the kids were HYPER! Hope they have better weather where they are going.

Kim came over the other day with the girls to give me a hand with some spring decorations...it is not anything like spring yet though! The pretty tulips help me deceive myself.

My first videos

I finally figured out how to post a video, with the help of a friend...it wasn't even that hard! The boys were having fun outside in the snow (actually, they were sent out in the snow against their will and are enjoying it so much that they refuse to come in now) and I thought I'd try to video them and then post it. So the following two are my first effort, you can hear me talking on the phone in the background to Kim. I will try to do that differently next time. I think I will have fun with this. The quality of the video is not all that great. The exciting news of the day is that mom is coming over to be with us when the baby is born. Dad has chosen to stay where things are a little more quiet and where there is not so much talk about babies and diapers etc. Maybe we will have to post a screaming baby video so he can get in on the fun. Today is the first day we have seen the sun for about two weeks so it is WONDERFUL!
