Yesterday I put away the changing table, the diapers and the wipes. The toddler bed is awaiting removal in the hallway. It felt strange but good to move on out of the baby stage. Alinya could still sleep in a toddler bed of course, in fact, Liam still fits in it--but we have more room if it's gone. We are officially out of one stage and onto the next! I think the next will be interesting and challenging too. In fact, it already is. An almost 12 year old, a nearly 10 year old, a 6 year old and a nearly 3 year old makes for an interesting mixture of needs to be met. Some days I manage....

Kindof getting to that stage here too, but in some ways I kindof miss it already. Glad to not buy anymore diapers, tho. So fun to read your postings, and sure had fun with your mom at the quilt retreat last month!

It is a bittersweet hurdle - but the best is yet ahead! It is nice to be able to head out the door without all that "baggage" and even rely on your kids to be responsible for their own things! Listen to me, sounds like I have all the answers, eh? You should hear me holler as they head out the door - "what about ______? Did you get _________? Don't forget _______!

Alinya sure seemed pleased with her recent accomplishments - Hooray!

Heidi, I can hardly believe your baby is almost 3! I'm trying to cherish these sleepless nights, endless diaper changes and bouts of crying because I know soon mine will be nearly 12!

I am not reporting anything here. I have been thinking, Does Grandma need to get rid of her porta crib and dressing table? No I think I will save it for my GREATGRANDKIDS someday?
