While most of you were sleeping, we heard a big bang and then screaming and sure enough, it was time for our next accident. Dylan was carrying an armful of wood down the barn stairs and dropped a piece, then tripped over it and fell the rest of the way down with the rest of the wood in his arms. The fall left him very shaky and his poor face is all scraped up and swollen. I think he will be sporting a nice shiner tomorrow. He spent the afternoon playing his nintendo and seems to have picked up again. It is girls nite out and Kim and I are taking the Happy Campers to Bern for some late nite shopping. Don't know who is looking forward to it more.....

La vie en Suisse
We went to the Joratel today, an area about an hour from our house where several families of our friends live. We didn't seem to leave with a pic of our host and hostess...too bad. We did finally get our friends Becky and Nellie to stand still long enough for a picture! It has been fun catching up with them. The boys enjoyed the farm and the little quad that they found in the garage.

Austria
Another few days of breathtaking scenery in the Austrian Tirol region. This year we visited Zillertal, a valley not far from where we were last year in the fall. The weather held up and the only snow we encountered was at very high altitudes, just how we like it! This time we had a pool so we spent every afternoon in the water. Hannes is finally able to swim without water wings. Ralph's mom Maria came with us and it was good to have a grandma close by when the early bird kids woke up around 6 or 6:30. Very un-vacationlike.

Liam is 3!
Our baby turned 3 today! We had a good afternoon with a few friends, opening presents, eating cake, popcorn and pretzels. Liam was very excited about ripping the paper off of his presents and good about letting the other kids share things! I guess next year will be different! Here are a few shots of our time. The boys are outside playing in the dirt and running around. It has been a quiet hour so far. Have you never seen a green elephant yet? It must be a special and rare swiss breed.

another birthday weekend
It was Ralph's turn this weekend, he was gone all day Saturday which was the day, so we celebrated it by going to the local motorcross. It was held just about 3 minutes' walk from our house so that wasn't too long of a trip. When he got home it was present time, which the boys enjoyed too. Today we had a few of our friends stay for an appetizer and then they went home and the boys went out to play while I got to prepare lunch in PEACE (wasn't last wknd my birthday?!)
Yesterday snow appeared on the foothills so winter is just around the corner.
