I have two extra kids on Thursdays and I tried tabletop spaghetti out on them and it was a great success. They laughed and slurped and asked immediately if we could do it again. It was great fun. Their mom takes my boys on Monday so we both have at least one day when we don't have to be home to make lunch. It works out well and always goes by really quickly.

Looks like fun. Dana and I want to do the "kid" swap when we move closer...just 6 weeks left and we will...can't wait...

ahhh you just made Shel Silverstein very proud! Maybe you know his poem about spaghetti:

Spaghetti, spaghetti, all over the place,
Up to my elbows—up to my face,
Over the carpet and under the chairs,
Into the hammock and wound round the stairs,
Filling the bathtub and covering the desk,
Making the sofa a mad mushy mess.

The party is ruined, I’m terribly worried,
The guests have all left (unless they’re all buried).
I told them, “Bring presents.” I said, “Throw confetti.”
I guess they heard wrong
‘Cause they all threw spaghetti!

(you're a cool mom!)

love that poem! I don't know what their parents will think...maybe that will be the last time I have them over!
